California Counties Urge Adoption of Senate Farm Bill in Conference
House Version Would Cut SNAP Enrollment Deeply

CWDA joined the California State Association of Counties and the County Health Executives Association of California (CHEAC) in urging the House and Senate conferees to adopt the Senate version of the Farm Bill as it relates to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. The cuts to this program, known as CalFresh in California, would be devastating to our low-income working families who rely on it to keep healthy food on the table.
