Nine California-based county associations, including CWDA and the California State Association of Counties, have issued a letter expressing opposition to the proposal introduced by Senators Cassidy, Graham, Heller, and Johnson to dramatically restructure the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Known as the Cassidy-Graham proposal, this legislation is no better, and is in some ways worse, for recipients of coverage under the ACA, as well as the underlying Medicaid program, especially in states like California that have taken full advantage of state options to expand coverage and benefits for low- to moderate-income residents.
