Medi-Cal is undergoing historical changes to eligibility in 2024 which include elimination of the asset test for all Medi-Cal programs, expansion of full-scope Medi-Cal to adults aged 26 through 49 regardless of immigration status, and the unwinding of the continuous coverage requirement. The Medi-Cal Unwinding and Eligibility Expansions workshop will provide up-to-date information about these changes, best practices that counties can leverage for successful outcomes, and innovative strategies DHCS is employing to reach diverse populations across California. Participants will leave with information on ways counties can continue to support these efforts at a local level.
