Hinnaneh comes to CWDA with nearly a decade of state policy development expertise and a background in health and human services policy, fiscal analysis, government operations, and strategic program implementation.

Prior to joining CWDA, Hinnaneh served in the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom, advising on statewide consumer affairs, government operations, artificial intelligence, and tax policy issues. Before this she served for five years at the California Department of Finance, supporting and managing policy and fiscal analysis for social safety net programs including Medi-Cal, In-Home Supportive Services, and more. Other past roles include policy consultant for the Capitol Collaborative on Race & Equity and operations manager for Common Cause California.

Hinnaneh earned a Master of Public Policy degree from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
