Renita Polk
Deputy Director – Aging, Disability, and Older Adult Services
Renita Polk joined CWDA as Deputy Director of Aging, Disability, and Older Adult Services in May 2024. In this role, Renita supports county human services departments in the development and implementation of policies impacting older adults, as is responsible for budget and legislative advocacy relating to aging and disability policy.
Prior to joining CWDA, Renita served as Assistant Director for the Office of Direct Care Workforce at the California Department of Aging. Before this she was a principal budget consultant for the California State Senate and a California Council on Science and Technology fellow in the California State Assembly.
Renita earned a Bachelor’s degree from Cedar Crest College, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
