This session will share reflections, lessons learned and a path toward recovery after a disaster for communities and human services first responders. Help the audience be better-prepared for a disaster and its aftermath through practical advice and lessons learned from Sonoma County’s experience responding to the emergency needs of the community and helping all residents move toward recovery. Discuss the nuts and bolts of how the Human Services Department managed vital ongoing core services during a crisis while fulfilling the department’s emergency roles supporting the safety and well-being of residents.
